Amazing news! We have breached the first stretch goal!
With only 4 days remaining, we have finally surpassed the £30,000 mark. As such, you will now be receiving free filament curtsey of Filamentive! Now you don’t need to go looking for filament, as one will be in the box for you!
Now we have our eyes set on the next stretch goals set at £50,000 – It might seem far away, but it’s definitely well worth it. While I cannot talk about one of them due to a special embargo – I can promise it’s going to be an upgrade which you cannot live without! And as for all of you who wanted the Revo-ecosystem, you can be looking forward to a straight upgrade of the nozzles to the newly released ObXidian nozzles – These quite literally mean you won’t need to buy another nozzle again — To see a review of these ObXidian nozzles: https://youtu.be/4Pl-CQ9eqZY
Major Factory Milestone
As of yesterday, we can now say that our meager factory unit is getting a MASSIVE quality of life improvement in the form of a mezzanine. We just finished talking with our structural engineer about the proposed plans, and we are now moving forward with a design that should increase our useable floor space by >%50. While this may not sound like a lot, this extra floor space will give us a lot more room to breathe and build beefier jigs for the assembly process. I cannot state how happy I am to get this mez.
In addition to this, we just started onboarding with our manufacturing software, which will run and organise the whole logistics chain and assembly of the machines. Lastly for the factory, we are even looking at upgrading all staff in to full on cyborgs with head mounted displays which they can use during the assembly process to make sure each machines quality is as best as it can be!
WMG Material Testing – We may have accidently found a new area of research
Before I start, I have to preface that I cannot say too much on this subject. The research is still ongoing, and a lot of the juicy topics are not to be disclosed as of yet. What I can say is we may have stumbled on something unknown for the 3D printing industry when it comes to polymer material properties when printed at speed!
The above picture is a great example of the new weird behaviour we have uncovered. This dog-bone sample was supposed to snap and instead we kept stretching it all the way until the machine ran out of travel. What was told to us was that the material kept getting stronger and more load would be needed to keep on stretching – which is weird because the material should be getting weaker at this stage, not stronger. Furthermore, the material was taking a 150% load from nominal and still wouldn’t break.
Preliminary thoughts are starting to head towards the idea that due to the speed of melting and subsequent printing, we are unknowingly aligning the polymer chains causing the materials to show characteristics much stronger than originally possible. One comment definitely made me laugh, as they even though initially these were injection moulded samples, as there wasn’t a single weak point in the print which would cause the part to fail!
Stay posted in order to get updates regarding this testing, as we are very excited to see the results!
More Print Examples & Where to Find Them
As you know, we couldn’t afford to give out dozens of machines to reviewers (unlike a certain new company). So, I wanted to make sure that you could see what quality the printer can offer. Above are some cute bowls which I printed in order to give to my nieces in ‘straw’ marble PLA and galaxy purple.
In total, all the prints in that picture came to just under 5 hours of printing using our new prototype “high-quality” slicer settings. I think they came out wonderfully, and personally I cannot see a single flaw. But don’t take my word at it, feel free to zoom in the image, I’m that confident of the print quality!
Additionally, we have also set up an official TicTok account.
We are posting lots of short form content on there, so expect some lower quality videography however you can see a much more RAW and unfiltered view of the machines. The pictures below are samples taken from that TikTok account.

Again, A massive thank you for supporting us, and we cannot wait to get making these machines for you!
